IOCS-2019 Meeting Registration
Welcome to the registration page for the 2019 International Ocean Colour Science (IOCS-2019) meeting. After registering for the meeting you will receive a link to the online abstract submission system as well as a link for scholarship applications (for students only). When submitting an abstract for a poster, please have your abstract ready in the correct format (see instructions at https://iocs.ioccg.org/posters-and-abstracts/instructions-authors-abstract-submission/). For student scholarships, please have your motivation statement ready (see information at https://iocs.ioccg.org/scholarships/).
A registration fee will be charged to help confirm attendance and defray expenses. The registration fee includes participation in all plenary, breakout and poster sessions (including poster session receptions), as well as tea/coffee breaks and the ice breaker reception on Tuesday 9 April 2019. Note that registration fees are heavily discounted if you register early. Discounted rates are also offered for full-time undergraduate and graduate students (copy of student ID required). The deadline for requesting student travel support is 15 February 2019, and the deadline for submitting a poster abstract is 1 March 2019.
Registration Fees All Students
Early (1 Nov – 31 Dec 2018) $200 $50
Regular (1 Jan – 8 March 2019) $300 $100
Late (from 9 March 2019) $450 $200
1-day registration (any time) $120
Government employees who need to obtain travel permission before registering should contact the IOCS-2019 meeting manager (Venetia Stuart, email@example.com) for further instructions. If you have difficulty accessing the system, or have a registration query, please also email Venetia Stuart. Once you have completed registration for the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to the online form for submission of poster abstracts and travel support requests (for students only).
Limited travel support may be available for undergraduate and graduate students who can demonstrate both the need for travel support, as well as use of ocean colour radiometry data in their research (students must submit a poster abstract as primary author to be eligible for travel support). Some support is specifically designated for students who use data from the Sentinel missions. You will receive a link to the Travel Support Application Form, after registration. Please apply for travel support by 15 February 2019 (deadline). Notifications about the success of your travel support request will be provided mid-March 2019.
Two training workshops (Copernicus Marine Data Stream and NASA SeaDAS) will be offered prior to the IOCS-2019 meeting. Both courses will take place on 8 April 2019 at the Haeundae Grand Hotel (9 am – 5 pm). Registration for these courses will open in November 2018. These courses will be in high demand and have limited capacity so please register early to avoid disappointment. There will be a separate registration for each training course, but please only register for one course, as they run concurrently.
Requests for refunds must be received by 15 March, 2019. The amount of the registration fees paid minus a $50.00 processing fee will be refunded. No refunds will be issued after 15 March, 2019.
