Sharing of science at the IOCS-2025 meeting is facilitated through posters. Posters should be a visual representation of your abstract and should be designed to encourage dialogue. There will be time for discussion of posters between authors and individual participants in an informal social setting. Posters will remain accessible for the duration of the meeting.
Poster Abstracts submission is open from 12 May until 15 August 2025. Posters may deal with any aspect of ocean colour remote sensing from research or operational perspectives, with a focus on the application of ocean colour to the following themes:
- carbon and climate
- water quality
- biodiversity
All accepted abstracts will be published on the IOCS-2025 website. Note that abstracts appearing on the conference website are not counted as publications and will not be protected by copyright, so may be submitted to a journal for publication following the meeting. A compendium of all abstracts will be made available to conference attendees via the meeting website.
Abstract submission will be handled by EUMETSAT through Eventsforce. You will receive a confirmation email from noreply@eventsforce.net. If you have questions about your submission or need to edit your abstract after submission, please contact the IOCCG Project Office at ioccg@ioccg.org and EUMETSAT at iocs@eumetsat.int.
The person presenting the poster is considered the presenting author. Each conference participant is limited to submitting ONE abstract as presenting author, but may be listed as a co-author on an unlimited number of abstracts. The presenting author may appear anywhere in the abstract’s author listing, but must be highlighted as instructed below.
The abstract submission portal expects the presenting author to submit the abstract (called main author in the portal). If the presenting author is NOT the author submitting the abstract to the portal, please check the appropriate box when asked, and list the presenting author’s details.
