Meeting Venue

The meeting will take place at the  Feira International de Lisboa (FIL) Conference Centre in Lisbon, Portugal.  The FIL Conference Centre is located in Parque das Nações, which is at the heart of the business and technological hub of the city of Lisbon (address: Rua do Bojador, Parque das Nações 1998-010, Lisboa, Portugal).

The FIL Conference Centre is uniquely situated near the River Tagus and is a beautiful and architecturally modern building. The conference venue is equipped with three auditoriums, five meeting rooms,  and two exhibition foyers, all of which have been reserved for IOCS-2017.

The FIL can be reach in approximately 7 minutes from Lisbon International airport  and about 20 minutes from downtown Lisbon.

Accommodation

Below you will find a list of some recommended hotels in the city of Lisbon.  We have negotiated block bookings with special rates at few hotels, but availability is limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.  There are also many reasonably-priced apartments for rent near the conference venue.  These can be booked via www.booking.com.  To obtain a list of nearby accommodation please use the destination: Parque das Nacoes, Lisbon.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

May 2017 is a very busy period in Lisbon, so hotel availability declines very quickly and the prices might be higher than normal.

Climate

Lisbon has a warm Mediterranean climate with many bright and sunny days.

Currency/Banks
